What happened next was hazy for Tony. There was a fight, only he wasn’t involved. There wasn’t much he could do when he didn’t have the suit. He tried thought. He kicked and punched a chitari, then they kicked and punched him and he ended up on the floor with a bruised head, watching Loki try to fight the Other. It wasn’t going well for Loki, but at least he was putting up a better fight than Tony did.
Upon successfully containing Loki, the Other turned to look at Tony.
“Still awake” He said in a creepy tone before stomping down on Tony’s face. Black.
Tony woke up with a searing pain in his chest. He let out a cry before he realised what was happening.
“Stop. Stop!” He yelled. They were trying to get the reactor out of his chest. He was tied down. “Stop it! I need it!”
“He needs it.” A voice said from the other side of the room. It wasn’t in English though. Tony looked to where the voice was coming from. It was Loki.
The alien performing the ‘surgery’ said something and Loki looked at Tony.
“Why do you need it? Is it a weapon? Are you going to destroy everyone with it?”
“Its a magnet. It stops shrapnel entering my heart. It’s what is keeping me alive!” Tony said desperately.
Loki said something to the alien, which was probably him repeating what Tony said. The alien looked at Tony. He pulled it out but didn’t unhook any of the wires. He then put it back in and said something to Loki.
“They believe you” Loki said. They unchained Tony from the bed and lead them down the corridor. Tony looked around as they walked, they were bringing Loki as well. For what reason, Tony did not know. Probably as a translator.
“Were in space” Tony mumbled. He’d only been in space once and that didn’t end well for him. He pretty much died of lack of oxygen.
“Where else would you be? You were captured by chitari” Loki scoffed. He had to make Tony feel small.
“Where abouts are we?” Loki didn’t answer that. He looked out the window briefly and sighed.
“Not far from Earth” Loki said. They were thrown in a cold, damp room and then the door shut and locked.
“But where?” Tony asked.
“Messier 81.” Tony flinched. “You do not like my answer.”
“Your answer implies were around 11.74 million light years away from Earth” Tony frowned.
“We are” Loki said “But were about 6 jumps away from Earth, so you’re not that far away from your home.”
Hours passed before Loki moved or even spoke again. He stood up and walked over to Tony, who flinched and moved away.
“I’m not going to hurt you.” he said.
“I can’t trust that.” Tony said. “You threw me from a window then got me captured by aliens.” Loki sighed.
“If I were going to hurt you, I’d have done that already.” Loki said. He sat down next to Tony. “I’m not your enemy right now. We’re in the same boat.” He sighed again. Tony nodded.
Tony looked at Loki’s wrists. They were shackled still, Tony didn’t have shackles. Then again, Tony was not a threat to the aliens, Loki was.
“Your shackles. What does all the engraving means?” Loki looked at them.
“I’m not sure, but they disturb my magic.” Loki said. Tony looked at then and started trying to pick the lock, but they got tighter. “Stop!” Loki yelped. Tony bit his lip.
“I am sorry” He said and sat back. “What are we going to do?”
“Wait.” Loki answered.
